We believe that a business must have a soul.  And we do.  Each person who works for our company has direct connections and ties to the community as well as direct ties to the soil and organics.  We feel that organics is an extension of ourselves because it's an extension of our farms, our farm community and ultimately, our soil.

The Heartland Mill Difference

Flour is the basis for almost every baked product in a bakery or grocery store.  However, not all flours are created equal.  No herbicides, insecticides or preservatives are used at any time during production or processing of Heartland Mill flour.

Heartland Mill also has a strong commitment to quality.  Products must meet quality control and performance standards set by the industry and customers.  Positive customer reactions and repeat purchases is evidence of our success.  Heartland Mill has its own in-house quality control program.

Our products are assigned a lot number which includes a processing date and other information such as grower numbers which aid in the audit trail of the products.  If at any time a baker has questions about the quality or performance of a Heartland Mill product, they can call the lab directly.  Using the lot number on the bag or label, the lab can provide information about the particular lot number.  In the event that a problem should occur, we can track down the lot number with the problem and try to solve it!
